Sydney Metro West provides the people of Sydney with a high-frequency (‘turn-up-and-go’) driverless rail system that will transform the way commuters travel. The project will double rail capacity between the Parramatta and Sydney CBDs, linking communities not previously serviced by rail and supporting growth.
New metro station locations will include Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, Pyrmont (option), The Bays, and Sydney CBD. The project integrates long-term transport planning, land use, economic, social, and placemaking outcomes via a mega public transport initiative, with the customer and customer drivers placed at the centre of all development activities.
