Beaches Link is an integrated motorway solution that will improve car and bus journey times to and from the Northern Beaches, linking people to jobs, education, and services.

Beaches Link aims to address heavily constrained routes to the Northern Beaches, The Spit Bridge, and Military Road.

Beaches Link will be largely underground, linking the Western Harbour Tunnel in Cammeray to Balgowlah and Frenchs Forest. It will include over 11 kilometres of tunnels as well as over 5 kilometres of upgraded surface roads.

Our people’s involvement

• Project Director for the strategic business case phase

• Project initiation, governance establishment, and procurement of a multi-disciplinary project team

• Creation and implementation of the project vision, objectives, and justification

• Management of options identification and assessment, technical development, economics, funding, financing analysis, and delivery strategies

• Preparation of accurate, concise, and robust cabinet and ministerial submissions

• Provision of briefings to the TfNSW Secretary, heads of government, ministers, and elected officials

• Produced a high-quality, cohesive, successful Strategic Business Case

• Integrated road and public transport outcomes for improved door-to-door journey times and reliability

• Maximised the reach of infrastructure benefits, beyond just road users

• Integrated and improved social outcomes, for example by returning local streets to local communities and developing new community open spaces

• Developed and implemented the Bronze, Silver, Gold business case development process for TfNSW, which was so effective that TfNSW subsequently implemented it as best practice across all major infrastructure business cases

• Upskilled government employees by providing hands-on guidance to improve their strategic and project development skills for large, complex infrastructure projects
